An Accra magistrate court has set\u00a013th July, 2015\u00a0to rule on a case involving a medical doctor, Ali Gabass who has been accused of sexually defiling a sixteen year old boy.<\/p>\n
This followed the submission of addresses by lawyers of the accused after they closed their defense a fortnight ago.<\/p>\n
[contextly_sidebar id=”BS7Fkz9qndzGSd3wqOz7xGrtJtDTtddM”]In an interview with Citi News<\/strong>, Gabass\u2019 lawyer, John Benson revealed that they had been given 13th July because the addresses had been filed late.<\/p>\n He was hopeful that the judge will consider the filed addresses, and the judgment on 13th July will be a true reflection of justice.<\/p>\n \u201cWe are hoping that these addresses, once they have been filed will be considered by the judge so that by the 13th we can bring this case to a close,\u201d he added, \u201c\u2026nothing short of justice will be a big blow for us that is why we have been holding on.\u201d<\/p>\n The medical officer, Gabass of Efia Nkwanta hospital is facing two counts of defiling a child less than 16 years and having unnatural carnal knowledge, charges he has pleaded not guilty.<\/p>\n Dr. Ali Gabass was arrested in October 2014 after media reports alleging sexual activities with the senior high school student.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n By: Selassie A.
