Airtel Ghana, leading Telecommunication Network and multiple award winning company has added\u00a0another first to its credits as it has rolled out an innovative service through their Airtel Money that allows a\u00a0tap and pay, contactless payment based on the Near Field Communications (NFC) technology.<\/p>\n
Near Field Communication (NFC) technology is the global communication standard that enables mobile\u00a0devices to securely communicate with a payment terminal.<\/p>\n
At experiential events held simultaneously at Koala Supermarket in Airport residential area and KFC Osu,\u00a0customers had the first-hand experience on a faster and more convenient, secure and instant payment\u00a0using their mobile phones. They paid for goods purchased by tapping at the NFC device located at the\u00a0sales point with their mobile phones to effect payment via their mobile wallet. Those without NFC enabled\u00a0phones were given stickers that enabled them enjoy this wonderful payment experience.<\/p>\n

The new NFC enabled payment system from Airtel Money is an innovative payment service which\u00a0reduces the number of steps that customers have to go through to make a mobile money payment. It\u00a0allows users to pay their bills with just a tap of the point of sale device with their NFC enabled mobile\u00a0phone at all partner merchants nationwide.<\/p>\n
