The Enterprise Group and Sanlam Insurance of South Africa have jointly donated an amount of GHc85,000 to the Reconstructive Plastic Surgery and Burns Center at the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital.<\/p>\n
[contextly_sidebar id=”bbgVoRStdzZYo5lKL7yZ9baeeMVqrFol”]The amount is to defray the medical cost of victims involved in the fire and flood disaster that rocked the nation some weeks ago.<\/p>\n
Scores of victims received various degrees of injuries as a result of the GOIL fire disaster and the cash will facilitate their full recovery.<\/p>\n
Making the donation to the center, Group Chairman of the Enterprise Group, Kelly Gadzekpo said the group was committed to ensuring that the victims receive the best of medical care.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe are a good corporate and community citizen and just as others have done we could not sit back and just watch without being able to contribute something. We are trying to uplift the spirit of those who are injured,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
He also advised Ghanaians to pay more attention to insurance packages that will cover their medical expenses in times of trouble.<\/p>\n
\u201cIn the meantime we will also hope people will pay more attention when it comes to matters of insurance because it is in times like this that you have an enterprise advantage\u201d,\u00a0 he added.<\/p>\n
For his part, a Consultant Surgeon at the Reconstructive Plastic Surgery and Burns Center at the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital Dr. Albert Paintsil expressed his appreciation to both Enterprise Group and Sanlam Insurance.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe are grateful for this presentation. Definitely it will help them get well soon. They have given some money that will help purchase some consumables that will help their dressing. Without help it will have taken a longer time for the patients to heal,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
