The National Democratic Congress (NDC) says it will send a strong delegation to support the New Patriotic Party\u2019s (NPP) national delegates\u2019 conference in Tamale on Saturday.<\/p>\n
According to the NDC, it is their expectation that the NPP will conduct the contest in atmosphere devoid of hostility and violence, to ensure peace during and after the conference.<\/p>\n
The General Secretary of the party, Johnson Asiedu Nketia in an interview with Citi News<\/strong> said a successful congress of the NPP \u201cis not beneficial to them alone as a party but it goes to raise our democratic as a nation.\u201d<\/p>\n On the other hand however, \u201canything untoward that may happen there will go to end our democratic credentials so we wish them well.\u201d<\/p>\n Mr. Nketia wished all the aspirants contesting for various national positions well.<\/p>\n Other political parties are also wishing the NPP well in their event.<\/p>\n The General Secretary of the Convention People\u2019s Party (CPP), Ivor Greenstreet wished all delegates travelling to Tamale a safe journey and urged them to conduct the elections in a peaceful manner adding that competency should be the basis for their voting.<\/p>\n The People\u2019s National Convention\u2019s (PNC) General Secretary, Bernard Monah and that of the Progressive People\u2019s Party (PPP), Kofi Siaw Asamoah both congratulated the NPP for adhering to their party\u2019s constitutions.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n By: Efua Idan Osam\/citifmonline.com\/Ghana
