An aspiring national Chairman of the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP), Mr. Paul Afoko has assured members of the party that he has no evil intention against the party’s 2012 Presidential candidate, Nana Akufo Addo and his two time running mate, Dr. Mahamadu Bawumia.<\/p>\n
Mr. Afoko on April 7, 2014 wrote to the national elections committee, demanding that both Nana Akufo-Addo and Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia be excluded from voting at Saturday\u2019s national delegates’ congress of the party.<\/p>\n
His statement drew a lot of reactions from the party’s rank and file with the party’s elections committee rejecting Mr. Afoko’s call for a meeting with all candidates to deal with the issue before Saturday\u2019s conference.<\/p>\n
Despite the controversy surrounding his candidature, Mr. Afoko is optimistic of winning the Chairmanship race.
