A former Member of Parliament for Asokwa Constituency in the Ashanti Region who was arrested for destroying electoral materials has been granted bail in\u00a0the sum of 10,000 Ghana cedis by a Kumasi Circuit Court.<\/p>\n

[contextly_sidebar id=”J2qyhh6CbhU9HLVgNYHkBgJpQeLs8zT9″]Citi News’<\/strong> Ashanti Regional correspondent, Lauretta Timah reported that the court “presided over by Afia Adu Amankwa admitted the two suspects [Jumah and his Campaign Manager, Richard Oscar] to a bail of 10,000 Ghana cedis with one surety”<\/p>\n

Lauretta said Oscar was charged with preventing lawful Police arrest.<\/p>\n

The two according to her, have also been asked to report to the Police every Friday.<\/p>\n

Kofi Jumah<\/span>\u00a0was arrested last Saturday<\/a><\/strong> <\/span>during the NPP Primaries for allegedly ripping apart the electoral album.<\/p>\n

His action was allegedly based on suspicion that the register had been tampered with,\u00a0in favour of his contender Patricia Appiagyei.<\/p>\n
