{"id":12477,"date":"2014-04-11T08:40:22","date_gmt":"2014-04-11T08:40:22","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/4cd.e16.myftpupload.com\/?p=12477"},"modified":"2014-04-11T08:57:44","modified_gmt":"2014-04-11T08:57:44","slug":"jake-condemns-tamale-shooting","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/citifmonline.com\/?p=12477","title":{"rendered":"Jake condemns Tamale shooting"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Incumbent national chairman of the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP), Jake Otanka Obetsebi Lamptey has condemned attacks on some of the party&#8217;s youth in Tamale.<\/p>\n<p>Unknown gunmen in unregistered taxi cab were reported to have shot into a crowd of NPP youth at Oscar&#8217;s base where they organized a night jam in commemoration of the NPP&#8217;s national delegates conference slated for \u00a0April 12.<\/p>\n<p>Nine persons including a lady were severely wounded and admitted at the Tamale Teaching Hospital.<\/p>\n<p>Mr. Obetsebi Lamptey who visited the victims at the Tamale Teaching Hospital told <strong>Citi News<\/strong> he suspected foul play from the National Democratic Congress (NDC).\u00a0He called for rapid response from security operatives on the ground to avoid bloodbath ahead of the conference.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/4cd.e16.myftpupload.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/04\/112.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-12485\" alt=\"1\" src=\"http:\/\/4cd.e16.myftpupload.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/04\/112.jpg\" width=\"600\" height=\"400\" srcset=\"https:\/\/citifmonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/04\/112.jpg 600w, https:\/\/citifmonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/04\/112-300x200.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Mr. Jake was however optimistic that the conference will end successfully and that the NPP will get united to wrestle power from the NDC in 2016.<\/p>\n<p>Northern regional chairman of the NPP, Mr. Daniel Bugri Naabu challenged security personnel in the region to be proactive in handling such activities.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>By: Abdul Karim Naatogmah\/citifmonline.com\/Ghana<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Incumbent national chairman of the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP), Jake Otanka Obetsebi Lamptey has condemned attacks on some of the party&#8217;s youth in Tamale.
