{"id":124630,"date":"2015-06-13T13:19:58","date_gmt":"2015-06-13T13:19:58","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/4cd.e16.myftpupload.com\/?p=124630"},"modified":"2015-06-13T17:40:08","modified_gmt":"2015-06-13T17:40:08","slug":"oppong-nkrumah-wins","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/citifmonline.com\/?p=124630","title":{"rendered":"Oppong Nkrumah wins"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Former broadcaster, Kojo Oppong Nkrumah has beaten off competition from two candidates in Ofoase Ayirebi constituency to represent the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the 2016 elections.<\/p>\n<p>He won the election by 219 votes.<\/p>\n<p>The two other contestants were John Obiri Yeboah and Bright Asamoah Acquah.<\/p>\n<p>John Obiri Yeboah who was tipped to win because of his popularity in the constituency had 145 votes while Bright Asamoah Acquah polled 54 votes.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/4cd.e16.myftpupload.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/06\/k-800x315.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-124635\" src=\"http:\/\/4cd.e16.myftpupload.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/06\/k-800x315.jpg\" alt=\"Kojo Oppong Nkrumah\" width=\"800\" height=\"315\" srcset=\"https:\/\/citifmonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/06\/k-800x315.jpg 800w, https:\/\/citifmonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/06\/k-800x315-300x118.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 800px) 100vw, 800px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The flagbearer of the NPP, Nana Akufo-Addo in a tweet congratulated Oppong Nkrumah for winning the election.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/4cd.e16.myftpupload.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/06\/Capture3.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-124656\" src=\"http:\/\/4cd.e16.myftpupload.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/06\/Capture3.jpg\" alt=\"Capture\" width=\"587\" height=\"139\" srcset=\"https:\/\/citifmonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/06\/Capture3.jpg 587w, https:\/\/citifmonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/06\/Capture3-300x71.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 587px) 100vw, 587px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>Kojo Oppong Nkrumah\u2019s reasons for choosing NPP<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Oppong Nkrumah in an earlier interview with <strong>Citi News<\/strong> listed a number of reasons which informed his decision to join the NPP.<\/p>\n<p><strong>NPP Philosophy\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>He said\u00a0at heart, he shares the party\u2019s philosophy for solving problems.
