{"id":122726,"date":"2015-06-07T14:38:56","date_gmt":"2015-06-07T14:38:56","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/4cd.e16.myftpupload.com\/?p=122726"},"modified":"2015-06-16T12:44:10","modified_gmt":"2015-06-16T12:44:10","slug":"prices-of-foodstuffs-go-up-in-1st-week-of-june","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/citifmonline.com\/?p=122726","title":{"rendered":"Prices of foodstuffs go up in 1st week of June"},"content":{"rendered":"<div id=\"yiv9667040492yui_3_16_0_1_1433590270504_8384\" class=\"yiv9667040492\">\n<p>The first week in the month of June saw some increases in the price of foods, of between 1% and 6%, in the various Ghanaian markets.<\/p>\n<p>Tomato however, recorded a loss of 7 percent in price.<\/p>\n<p>This according thorough checks by Esoko Ghana across the key markets in the country which showed that a medium size tomato tin full of fresh tomato went for an average price of GHS 10.08.<\/p>\n<p>An olonka of white beans was sold at an average price of GHS 7.18 representing a marginal gain of 1% from last week\u2019s price of GHS 7.08.<\/p>\n<p>The highest gain of the week (6%) was made by groundnut (shelled). It went for GHS 11.91.<\/p>\n<p>A visit to some of the markets revealed that a medium size tin full of fresh tomato was sold for GHS 14.26 in Agbogbloshie representing a 20% increase in price.<\/p>\n<p>Tamale also recorded 85 increase to close the week at 8.10GHS.
