A 6-Year-old boy on Thursday lost his life when he fell into an uncovered manhole filled with water at Sebrepor in the Kpone-Katamanso District.<\/p>\n

Charles Dubin,\u00a0Assembly Member for the Sebrepor Electoral Area said the incident occurred at about 1600 hours.<\/p>\n
Mr Dubin said the mother of Ramseyer Takyi, the victim,\u00a0sent his son to escort a one and a half year old boy to his mother in the neighborhood.<\/p>\n
According to him, the one-and-a-half child who could not speak was later seen near the manhole pointing at it.<\/p>\n
This attracted a concerned resident who led the boy to a nearby house where Takyi’s mother informed neighbours that he sent the victim to take the boy home.<\/p>\n
Residents became alarmed and entered the manhole filled with water, with a ladder, and retrieved Takyi’s lifeless body.<\/p>\n
Mr Dubin said the body of the victim has been deposited at the Tema General Hospital while a complaint has been lodged at the Golf City Police Station, near Tema
