Commercial Drivers particularly Taxi drivers in the Tamale Township have cautioned the Driver and Vehicular Licensing Authority (DVLA) against implementation of the new licensing policy.<\/p>\n

Some of them in a Citi News interview served notice of embarking on strike if the DVLA does not rescind its decision.<\/p>\n
They said complete implementation of that aspect of the new licensing policy which requires a certain grade of education will render majority of them jobless.<\/p>\n
At the main Tamale Taxi rank, the drivers were spotted carrying passengers to their destinations.<\/p>\n
Taxi cabs and Okada are the major sources of commercial transport in the Tamale Metropolis because there are no trotros.<\/p>\n
Political and chieftaincy interference has always impeded efforts by the law enforcement agencies to smoke out and prosecute unlicensed motorists in the Tamale Metro Area.<\/p>\n
