{"id":12127,"date":"2014-04-09T18:30:23","date_gmt":"2014-04-09T18:30:23","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/4cd.e16.myftpupload.com\/?p=12127"},"modified":"2014-04-09T18:30:23","modified_gmt":"2014-04-09T18:30:23","slug":"court-jails-driver-for-stealing-judges-mobile-phone","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/citifmonline.com\/?p=12127","title":{"rendered":"Court jails driver for stealing judge&#8217;s mobile phone"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Winneba District Magistrate Court has sentenced a 21- year- old driver to six months imprisonment <span class=\"GINGER_SOFTWARE_mark\" id=\"e81c31f5-344a-495d-ac44-3adbe1bf3120\">in<\/span> hard <span class=\"GINGER_SOFTWARE_mark\" id=\"cbe7a5d5-a62d-4b43-8a5a-fb55d25a78a2\">labour<\/span>, for stealing the mobile phone of a Kumasi based High Court Judge.<\/p>\n<p>Clement Bonney, who hails from Winneba pleaded guilty.<\/p>\n<p>The <span class=\"GINGER_SOFTWARE_mark\" id=\"4852d5a7-fe11-41a3-815c-f04489b018ce\">Prosecution Police<\/span> Detective Sergeant Peter Agbelie told the court presided over by Mr Charles Owusu <span class=\"GINGER_SOFTWARE_mark\" id=\"bc244cfa-3f41-42b8-8348-c08daed90b84\">Nssiah<\/span> that on February 14, the judge parked his car <span class=\"GINGER_SOFTWARE_mark\" id=\"d12b0bf2-9881-4d27-b02f-d90c0f038a5e\">at<\/span> the Town Hall area.<\/p>\n<p>Detective Sgt Agbelie said the complainant returned to find that his Samsung Duos Mobile Phone he left in his car had been stolen and reported the matter to the police.<\/p>\n<p>The prosecution said investigations conducted led to the arrest of the convict, who in his cautioned statement admitted the <span class=\"GINGER_SOFTWARE_mark\" id=\"681b8899-7bb4-4e7c-983b-b0549b8382bd\">offence<\/span>.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Source: GNA<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Winneba District Magistrate Court has sentenced a 21- year- old driver to six months imprisonment in hard labour, for stealing the mobile phone of a Kumasi based High Court Judge.
