The National Executive Committee of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) is likely to sanction the party’s internal security apparatus called \u201cInvincible Forces\u201d for denying Paul Afoko and Kwabena Agyepong access to the party\u2019s head office.<\/p>\n

[contextly_sidebar id=”GaeV3DQtsMfrubIuH7SvVdYR7yHyMLS7″]The Invincible Forces, vowed not to allow the two embattled national executives access to the premises following the death of the Upper East Regional Chairman of the NPP, Adam Mahama.<\/p>\n

They later rescinded their decision<\/a><\/strong><\/span> after the intervention<\/a><\/strong><\/span> of presidential candidate of the NPP, Nana Akufo-Addo last Friday.<\/p>\n

But Communications Director of the NPP, Nana Akomea speaking to Citi News<\/strong>, described the action as “outrageous.”<\/p>\n

He said the duty and mandate of the the security company is just to provide security saying “they are not the people to decide who comes into or doesn\u2019t come into the head office. So it was quite outrageous for them in expressing their grieve about what had happened to purport to give themselves the authority to decide who comes in or who doesn\u2019t.\u201d<\/p>\n

The Police intervened at the party headquarters after clashes between Paul Afoko loyalists and Invisible Forces<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

On Thursday, some supporters of the New Patriotic Party\u2019s (NPP) National Chairman, Paul Afoko, clashed with the Invincible Forces<\/a><\/strong><\/span>, a security group guarding the party\u2019s headquarters.<\/p>\n

Two people were injured in the process and were sent to the hospital for treatment.<\/p>\n

\u201c…you can understand that in the heat of the grieve and emotions they could take that action. They didn\u2019t act properly. So tomorrow they can make the statement that the communications director could not come\u2026I mean its so outrageous.”<\/p>\n

“When the NEC meets, I\u2019m sure\u00a0 this issue may be brought before them, and when its brought before them, I\u2019m sure they will deal with it,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n
