The Police say they found a gallon of acid at the scene where\u00a0New Patriotic Party\u2019s Upper East Regional Chairman, Adam Mahama was attacked.<\/p>\n
Adam Mahama died on Thursday after he was attacked with acid.<\/p>\n
Gregory Afoko, brother of NPP National Chairman, Paul Afoko was subsequently arrested for the alleged role he played in the death of Adam Mahama.<\/p>\n

According to the Police charge sheet, Gregory Afoko after his arrest was asked to lead the Police to the house of his accomplice, Asabke Alangdi but \u201che rather took them to the father\u2019s house. Police later located the house of the second\u00a0but the suspect had got wind of their presence and absconded with his wife leaving behind their baby.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cA gallon, which contains some of the substance and a plastic cup, were retrieved at the scene for forensic examination,\u201d the charge sheet added.<\/p>\n
Meanwhile, according to the Police a \u201cpost mortem examination was conducted on the body of the deceased and the Pathologist gave the cause of the death as shock lungs and extensive acid burns.\u201d<\/p>\n
Gregory Afoko has been charged with murder.<\/p>\n
