{"id":119274,"date":"2015-05-26T15:00:01","date_gmt":"2015-05-26T15:00:01","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/4cd.e16.myftpupload.com\/?p=119274"},"modified":"2015-05-26T13:26:05","modified_gmt":"2015-05-26T13:26:05","slug":"upper-west-also-votes-against-afoko-agyepong","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/citifmonline.com\/?p=119274","title":{"rendered":"Upper West also votes against Afoko, Agyepong"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Upper West regional executive committee of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) has also resolved the embattled National Chairman and General Secretary \u00a0must step aside.<\/p>\n<p>The Upper West Region is the sixth region to pass a vote of no confidence in the two national officers.<\/p>\n<p>[contextly_sidebar id=&#8221;JvT8GosIE4QTPZXGvWM9fYxte3LAeKjL&#8221;]The Volta, Central, Easter, Western and Greater Accra regions have already petitioned the National Council of the party to ask\u00a0Afoko, Agyepong to resign.<\/p>\n<p>The Northern Region is meeting on Tuesday to decide the fate of the two leaders, while the Ashanti Region is currently engaging in broader consultation before taking a decision.<\/p>\n<p>There is however no confirmation yet from the Upper East and Brong Ahafo Regions.<\/p>\n<p>In an interview with <strong>Citi News<\/strong>, the Upper West regional Youth Organizer, Mustapha Govee said: \u201cI can tell you on authority that 22 people actually voted in favour of the impeachment; only two abstained.
