There&#8217;ll be justice.&#8211; JM.<\/p>\n<p>\u2014 John Dramani Mahama (@JDMahama) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/JDMahama\/status\/602590096567730176\">May 24, 2015<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><script src=\"\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" async=\"\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script>[contextly_sidebar id=&#8221;Ptwq19lE0USocI3At3PFN7CSkkUUhGZm&#8221;]The New Patriotic Party&#8217;s (NPP) Regional Chairman passed away last Thursday after he was attacked by two unknown persons.<\/p>\n<p>He was laid to rest last Saturday at Bolgatanga in the Upper East region but the party&#8217;s General Secretary and Chairman Kwabena Agyepong and Paul Afoko were absent.<\/p>\n<p>It is unclear whether earlier threats banning the two from attending the funeral rites informed their decision to be absent.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Factionalism breaking NPP<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Many have attributed Adam Mahama&#8217;s tragic death to<span style=\"color: #666699;\"> <strong><a style=\"color: #666699;\" href=\"http:\/\/4cd.e16.myftpupload.com\/2015\/05\/21\/leadership-must-quell-tensions-in-npp-atta-akyea\/#sthash.mMtqsOVA.dpbs\" target=\"_blank\">seeming factions<\/a><\/strong><\/span> within the party and have called on the leadership of the party to address the issue.<\/p>\n<p>The Member of Parliament for Abuakwa South earlier asked the leadership of the NPP to quell tensions within.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI do not understand why a general secretary or a chairman of the party should have a tiff with another serious member of the party.
