President John Dramani Mahama on Friday delivered\u00a0the\u00a0honorary keynote address to open the Oxford Africa Conference 2015 at the Oxford Union.<\/p>\n

The conference was on the theme “A Continent on the Move: People, Politics and Business Across Borders.”<\/p>\n

He among other things urged Africans to use social media to trumpet the continents story.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe world is literally at our finger tips. In 140 typographic characters, we can share even the most mundane news of our lives with complete strangers in faraway places. With a single hashtag we can appeal to the humanity of our brothers and sisters across the globe and ask for help with a deadly epidemic or with the return on kidnapped school girls,\u201d President Mahama added.<\/p>\n
