The Police Homicide Unit has taken over investigations and dispatched a team of detectives to Bolgantanga to conduct thorough investigations into the incident leading to the death of Mahama Adam, the Upper East Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party(NPP).<\/p>\n
[contextly_sidebar id=”pyVEni8gPqyfxetUjKlADRca0Bho3esv”]The deceased who suffered acid attack from two\u00a0unidentified persons, died while receiving treatment at the Bolgatanga Regional Hospital on Thursday.<\/p>\n
The team, accompanied by a pathologist from the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital will be assisted by the Upper East Regional Police Command to investigate the cause of his death.<\/p>\n
Meanwhile one suspect has been arrested in connection with the incident.<\/p>\n
The Police reiterated that it will ensure that all persons connected to the incident will be brought to book.<\/p>\n
The general public has been advised to remain calm and \u201cnot take the law into their own hands to cause mayhem.\u201d<\/p>\n
The Police also appealed to Ghanaians to \u201cvolunteer credible information\u201d that will lead to the arrest of other accomplices.<\/p>\n
