{"id":117565,"date":"2015-05-19T18:09:37","date_gmt":"2015-05-19T18:09:37","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/4cd.e16.myftpupload.com\/?p=117565"},"modified":"2015-05-20T08:44:27","modified_gmt":"2015-05-20T08:44:27","slug":"samsung-fair-play-award-winner-excels-in-france","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/citifmonline.com\/?p=117565","title":{"rendered":"Samsung fair play award winner excels in France"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Black stars and Olympique Marseille winger, Andre Dede Ayew has been recognized as the Best African Player in France.<\/p>\n<p>The 25-year-old beat Ivory Coast&#8217;s Max-Alain Gradel (Saint-Etienne) and Tunisia&#8217;s Aymen Abdennour (Monaco) to the Marc-Vivien Foe Trophy.<\/p>\n<p>The left-foot player, who was the official Samsung brand ambassador during the 2015 AFCON tournament in Equatorial Guinea and a recipient of the Samsung Fair Play award has certainly made Ghanaians proud.<\/p>\n<p>Dede Ayew has once again put Ghana in the limelight on the international football scene.<\/p>\n<p>This award could be attributed to his hard work, dedication and passion for the football game.<\/p>\n<p>In 2005, he signed with his father&#8217;s former club, Marseille, and spent two seasons in the club&#8217;s youth academy before making his debut for the club in the 2007\u201308 season.<\/p>\n<p>In the following two seasons, Ayew played on loan with L\u2019Orient and Arles-Avignon, helping the latter team earn promotion to Ligue 1 for the first time.<\/p>\n<p>In 2010, Ayew returned to Marseille under manager Didier Deschamps, former France captain and has since become an integral player in their setup.<\/p>\n<p>Dede Ayew who is set to leave Marseille at the end of the season, has certainly made a great mark after scoring 43 goals in 158 appearances.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Source:\u00a0GMA<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Black stars and Olympique Marseille winger, Andre Dede Ayew has been recognized as the Best African Player in France.
