The Union of Industry, Commercial and Finance Workers (UNICOF) has unanimously resolved to continue pushing for the removal of the Managing Director\u00a0of the Agricultural Development Bank (adb), Stephen Kpordzih and the bank\u2019s board.<\/p>\n

Members of UNICOF signaled their intent to embark on a series of public protests against the management of the bank over alleged acts of financial misappropriation and the scheduled Initial Public Offering (IPO) of the bank\u2019s shares.<\/p>\n
They were however asked to suspend their\u00a0plans following a meeting with Employment and Labour Relations Minister, Haruna Iddrisu.<\/p>\n
The bank also agreed to put on hold the IPO<\/a><\/strong> <\/span>which would have seen the bank offload about 100 million shares \u00a0representing 75 percent ownership of the bank to raise about GH\u00a2300 million.<\/p>\n Presently, the Bank of Ghana (BoG) has initiated investigations<\/a><\/strong><\/span> into the allegations being leveled against the MD and the board of governors.<\/p>\n Nonetheless, John Esiape told Citi News,<\/strong> their resolve is to back government\u2019s decision to institute investigations into the running of adb.<\/p>\n He argued that the workers of the bank \u201cwant progress; we want better performance and so on.
