{"id":112151,"date":"2015-04-28T16:05:09","date_gmt":"2015-04-28T16:05:09","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/4cd.e16.myftpupload.com\/?p=112151"},"modified":"2015-04-28T16:05:50","modified_gmt":"2015-04-28T16:05:50","slug":"police-guns-down-notorious-car-snatcher","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/citifmonline.com\/?p=112151","title":{"rendered":"Police guns down notorious car snatcher"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Police in Accra on Sunday gunned down\u00a0a man believed to be a notorious car snatcher who operates within the Accra Metropolis.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The suspect was shot and killed\u00a0after he and others engaged the police in a gun battle.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">According to the police they received information that the group of robbers snatched a\u00a0taxicab\u00a0at a gun point at Nungua and therefore dispatched a team of police officers to the area.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Upon seeing the police the group opened fire which the Police returned.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">It resulted in the death of one while the others escaped with gunshot wounds.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/4cd.e16.myftpupload.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/04\/20150428_110046.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-112157\" src=\"http:\/\/4cd.e16.myftpupload.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/04\/20150428_110046.jpg\" alt=\"20150428_110046\" width=\"768\" height=\"576\" srcset=\"https:\/\/citifmonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/04\/20150428_110046.jpg 768w, https:\/\/citifmonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/04\/20150428_110046-300x225.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 768px) 100vw, 768px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">According to the police, the robbers were operating in around Spintex, Adenta, Nungua, East Legon and its\u00a0environs.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The Greater Accra Regional Police Commander, DCOP Tetteh Yohuno\u00a0told\u00a0<strong>Citi News<\/strong>\u00a0that, \u201c on the 24<sup>th<\/sup> April, the Accra regional Police Command received information that a group of robbers were operating in around Spintex, Adenta, Nungua, East Legon and its environs and had snatched a taxi cab at gun point in the process at Nungua.\u00a0The command immediately dispatched a team of policemen to the aforementioned areas to save the situation.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">He added that &#8220;At about 1am the team spotted, the team spotted a Toyota Yaris Taxi cab, with registration number GW 9533 13 which they had snatched from the owner around Spintex road.
