{"id":111110,"date":"2015-04-25T07:27:45","date_gmt":"2015-04-25T07:27:45","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/4cd.e16.myftpupload.com\/?p=111110"},"modified":"2015-04-25T07:27:45","modified_gmt":"2015-04-25T07:27:45","slug":"three-flat-screen-tv-thieves-nabbed","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/citifmonline.com\/?p=111110","title":{"rendered":"Three flat-screen TV thieves nabbed"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"itemIntroText\">\n<p>Three persons wanted by the police for stealing flat-screen television sets from residential apartments and shops in Accra have been arrested.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"itemFullText\">\n<p>[contextly_sidebar id=&#8221;LiOHWONnRebSYn82NcPhO4frwZyukojv&#8221;]The three whose names were given by the police as Emmanuel Apisugu, 19, a motor mechanic, Horlanyo Mensah, 19, unemployed, and Prince Asare, 17, a trader, were arrested at their hideout at Alajo.<\/p>\n<p>They broke into houses at Haatso, Atomic and its surrounding areas and stole the television sets.<\/p>\n<p><strong>More reports from victims\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Briefing journalists in Accra, the Deputy Accra Regional Commander, Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) Mr Timothy Yoosa Bonga, said the three suspects were armed with a cutter and a crowbar which they used to break into the houses of their victims.<\/p>\n<p>He said the police had received a number of reports from victims whose houses had been burgled while they had gone to church or were sleeping at night.<\/p>\n<p>Mr Bonga said the Police intensified their search for the three after they reportedly scaled over the wall of a house at Haatso at about 12 midnight on April 6, 2015, and made away with a 50-inch thermocool LED television set.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Items found\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Mr Bonga said when a search was conducted at the hideout of the suspects, 10 flat-screen television sets were found.<\/p>\n<p>The police also found three laptops, a canon camera, two Samsung tablets and an ipad in their possession.<\/p>\n<p>They have since been charged with stealing and are being processed for court.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Source: <a href=\"http:\/\/www.graphic.com.gh\/news\/general-news\/42224-three-flat-screen-tv-thieves-nabbed.html\" target=\"_blank\"><span style=\"color: #800080;\"><strong>Graphic Online<\/strong><\/span><\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Three persons wanted by the police for stealing flat-screen television sets from residential apartments and shops in Accra have been arrested.
