The Minister of Foreign Affairs Hanna Tetteh, has disclosed that government has sent some national security operatives to South Africa to monitor and gather intelligence for the Ghana government following the xenophobic attacks in that country.<\/p>\n
[contextly_sidebar id=”QJEroa6FV8aMQjGz6KiVsrfww0jN8x9G”]South African locals are accusing African migrants including Ghanaians living in the country of taking over their jobs<\/strong><\/a><\/span>.<\/p>\n So far 10\u00a0people have been confirmed dead as a result of the incident which begun about 3 weeks ago.<\/p>\n Even though 4 Ghanaians have died within the period, indications are that, none of them died as a result of the attacks.<\/p>\n Speaking in a joint interview with Citi Breakfast Show<\/strong>\u00a0and Gold Power Drive on Tuesday, Hanna Tetteh explained that government had deployed security personnel to South Africa to\u00a0ascertain the issue as well as gather enough information to enable them\u00a0devise measures to protect Ghanaians living in that country.<\/p>\n She added that “its our job to make sure Ghanaians are protected and to evaluate the information that we are getting as we are getting it.
