Hearts of Oak defender Joseph Owusu Bempah says he and his team-mates should do better in the local league as they have done in the CAF Confederations Cup.<\/p>\n
The team beat AS Djoliba 2-1 in Bamako in the first leg of the third round of the CAF Confederations Cup qualifiers on Friday but they are 9th in the First Capital Plus Premier League with 18 points after 13 matches.<\/p>\n
Bempah believes the team must fare better but states that they are not too far away from reaching the top spot after stuttering initially.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt is true that we have to do work harder and get a better place on the league table. At the beginning of the season, the team did not gel well because we had some new players coming in and the coach had to turn us into a unit.<\/p>\n
But I am happy now because we all understand the coach and things have improved.<\/p>\n
There are two matches left in the first round and then, the second round will come in. I am sure that our season will have a good turnaround.\u201d<\/p>\n
Hearts of Oak face Olympics in the Accra derby on the 26th of April and finish up the first round on the 29th with an away match to AshGold.<\/p>\n
