{"id":108821,"date":"2015-04-16T06:48:50","date_gmt":"2015-04-16T06:48:50","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/4cd.e16.myftpupload.com\/?p=108821"},"modified":"2015-04-16T06:48:50","modified_gmt":"2015-04-16T06:48:50","slug":"denu-cell-break-fugitves-plead-not-guilty","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/citifmonline.com\/?p=108821","title":{"rendered":"Denu cell break: Fugitves plead not guilty"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">An Aflao circuit court presided over by Mr Ali Baba Batturi adjourned the case of the <span style=\"color: #666699;\"><a style=\"color: #666699;\" href=\"http:\/\/4cd.e16.myftpupload.com\/2015\/03\/13\/seven-suspects-break-cell-in-denu-bolt-with-rifles\/#sthash.Yn0eyhhU.dpbs\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>seven suspected criminals<\/strong><\/a> <\/span>who escaped from Police cell in Denu April 22, 2015.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">[contextly_sidebar id=&#8221;XTG6JQBeMG35pRwEltlW5i8zH3JE9ejm&#8221;]On Friday March 15, seven suspected criminals escaped from a cell in the Denu Police Station and made away with two Police rifles.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Five of the escapees were re-arrested with the two Nigerians still at large.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">At the court, the 5 suspects together with some two other accomplices who were said to have aided the plot pleaded not guilty to the charges.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The <span style=\"color: #666699;\"><a style=\"color: #666699;\" href=\"http:\/\/4cd.e16.myftpupload.com\/2015\/04\/09\/fourth-denu-cell-break-escapee-re-arrested\/#sthash.JroHGsWb.pEwMEukH.dpbs\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>5 re-arrested suspected criminals<\/strong><\/a> <\/span>were charged with four counts of breaking gaol, causing unlawful damage to three padlocks belonging to Ghana police service, escaping from cell as well as stealing guns and ammunitions.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The court therefore adjourned the hearing of the case to next week 22nd April.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">In a related development, Police in the Volta Region\u00a0say they will liaise with the <span style=\"color: #666699;\"><a style=\"color: #666699;\" href=\"http:\/\/4cd.e16.myftpupload.com\/2015\/04\/14\/interpol-to-help-police-re-arrest-3-denu-fugitives\/\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>International Police<\/strong><\/a> <\/span>(Interpol) in Nigeria, to help re-arrest the remaining suspects who escaped from the Denu Police cell last month.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The Police believe the remaining two\u00a0who are of Nigerian descent could be hiding in their home country.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">&#8211;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">By: King Norbert Akpablie\/citifmonline.com\/Ghana<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>An Aflao circuit court presided over by Mr Ali Baba Batturi adjourned the case of the seven suspected criminals who escaped from Police cell in Denu April 22, 2015.
