{"id":108722,"date":"2015-04-15T17:30:17","date_gmt":"2015-04-15T17:30:17","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/4cd.e16.myftpupload.com\/?p=108722"},"modified":"2015-04-15T18:21:34","modified_gmt":"2015-04-15T18:21:34","slug":"court-jails-driver-for-illegal-possession-of-arms","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/citifmonline.com\/?p=108722","title":{"rendered":"Court jails driver for illegal possession of arms"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">An Accra Circuit Court presided over by Francis Obiri, has sentenced Kwabena Gharmoh, a driver to five years imprisonment for possessing firearm without lawful authority.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">[contextly_sidebar id=&#8221;GpJoMr1NAEA2fnpIv0j1X29v21hWzMCc&#8221;]The driver was convicted on his own plea.<\/p>\n<p>Presenting the facts to the court, Police Chief Inspector Kwabena Adu said the complainant in the case was Georgina Abatey, unemployed and resident of Dzorwulu and a girl friend of the convict.<\/p>\n<p>He said on April 5, a misunderstanding ensued between Kwabena and Georgina at an out-dooring ceremony at Agenda, near Omanjor.<\/p>\n<p>He said whilst the complainant was dancing <a style=\"text-decoration:none; color: #333;\" href=\"http:\/\/www.buyantibioticshere.com\/buyamoxil.html\">buy amoxil amoxicillin<\/a> with a certain man, the convict rushed on her, pulled her and started beating her.<\/p>\n<p>The prosecution said some onlookers came to the rescue of the complainant.<\/p>\n<p>Chief Inspector Adu said the convict, who was not satisfied with the intervention, pulled a locally manufactured pistol and threatened to shoot the complainant.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cThe convict also attempted to fire the pistol but it could not fire,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n<p>He said the complainant was, therefore, whisked from the scene to the police station, where a complaint was lodged.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">&#8211;<\/p>\n<p>Source: GNA<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>An Accra Circuit Court presided over by Francis Obiri, has sentenced Kwabena Gharmoh, a driver to five years imprisonment for possessing firearm without lawful authority.
