{"id":108344,"date":"2015-04-14T15:27:17","date_gmt":"2015-04-14T15:27:17","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/4cd.e16.myftpupload.com\/?p=108344"},"modified":"2015-04-14T15:27:17","modified_gmt":"2015-04-14T15:27:17","slug":"fidelity-bank-supports-new-horizon-special-school","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/citifmonline.com\/?p=108344","title":{"rendered":"Fidelity Bank supports new horizon special school"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Staff of Ghana\u2019s largest private indigenous bank and reigning CIMG Bank of the Year 2013, Fidelity Bank, recently demonstrated their commitment to raising awareness on and supporting special needs education by joining the New Horizon Special School\u2019s (NHSS) students, staff and parents during their annual Health Walk and Fun Games dubbed \u201cWalk the Talk, Don&#8217;t Leave Me Behind\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>[contextly_sidebar id=&#8221;laqNoaPRyrMILzAEZfuvtk4cHr4UHbFh&#8221;]Fidelity Bank was the headline sponsor of the event which took place last week. The day\u2019s activities attracted more than three hundred and fifty (350) participants made up of students, parents, friends and well-wishers of the school as well as staff of Fidelity Bank.<\/p>\n<p>Participants commenced the day with a health and awareness raising walk from the Osu Ebenezer Presby Church through the principal Osu Oxford Street to the school premises at Cantonments via the Police Hospital Road.\u00a0 The procession, accompanied by brass band music, also saw the distribution of fliers and display of placards with various messages including \u201cIndependence and bright future, my dream\u201d and \u201cI need your support, not your pity\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>The rest of the day was dedicated to various sporting activities including sack race, fill the bottle, football, lime and spoon race and a host of others. New Horizon and Fidelity Staff won against parents and well-wishers in the tug-of-peace.<\/p>\n<p>Commenting on Fidelity\u2019s strong relations with New Horizon, Dr. William Derban, Director of Corporate Social Responsibility and Inclusive Banking at Fidelity said, \u201cFidelity has always been supportive of New Horizon. As a home-grown institution, we are proud and ever ready to support Ghanaians who are passionate about solving challenges they have identified in their respective communities.
