The New Patriotic Party\u2019s (NPP) 2016 running mate, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia on Tuesday delivered a lecture on the International Monetary Fund (IMF) deal with Ghana.<\/p>\n

He highlighted a plethora of issues he believed forced government to resort to the IMF to save Ghana from its economic woes.<\/p>\n

Dr Bawumia who is also an economist and a former Deputy Governor of the Bank of Ghana insisted that the IMF bailout programme could have been prevented if government had listened to sound advice.<\/p>\n

Various personalities were at the event,\u00a0including the flag bearer of the NPP, Nana Akufo-Addo, Osafo Marfo and the Chairperson of the Convention Peoples Party (CPP), Sammia Nkrumah among others.<\/p>\n
