The confidence trickster who was caught on CCTV camera duping a school boy in a Barclays Bank branch in Osu has been arrested.
The trickster who posed as a worker of Barclays Bank on March 13, 2016, allegedly swindled a Junior High School student who had been sent to make a deposit at the Barclays Bank branch in Osu.
[contextly_sidebar id=”bkjJLF20I9chTjZy6ywgVemTx0iHqU0R”]The bank subsequently circulated pictures of the trickster across its branches in the country to help arrest the fraudster who is said to have duped about three customers in banks.
Today [Monday] Citi News sources in the Police service revealed that the suspect has been arrested and is currently in custody at Ashaiman.
He is expected to be transferred to the Osu Police station for investigations into the Barclays Bank incident.
According to initial reports, the suspect was attempting to dupe another person in another bank when one of the customers recognized him from the CCTV footage which went viral after a citifmonline.com publication.
