At least six (6) passengers are feared dead in a fatal accident at Gomoa Buduatta, near Winneba junction in the Central Region.
Twelve others who survived the accident have also been hospitalized at the Winneba Trauma and Specialist Hospital in the region.
The accident occurred when a Sprinter Benz bus with registration number GE 5526-15 traveling to Accra collided with a VVIP bus [GT 6454-10 ] heading to Takoradi from Accra, during a downpour on Thursday evening.
An eyewitness, Emmanuel Gaisie, who was traveling from Tema told Citi News “we came to meet the VVIP bus with the sprinter in a head-on collision.”
“The sprinter bus driver was not dead so we managed to bring him out of the vehicle. There were seven people in the sprinter and they were all dead except the driver. On the VVIP bus, there were minor injuries,” he added.
