Today, Turkey exports its value-added products and services in the energy, technology and entrepreneurship sectors. Karpowership has crossed seas and offered the hand of friendship to supply electricity to many countries around the world that are in need of this basic necessity.”
The Deputy Minister of Energy, Joseph Kudjoe, noted that the success of governments flagship programme of one district one factory would largely depend on the availability and reliability of electricity supply.
To this end, he said the government in that regard is putting in place measures to offtake gas from the Sankofa field in Takoradi unto the 450mw Karpowership when it is relocated to Sekondi.
He said “government is paying attention to the erratic nature of gas supply from the West African Gas pipeline and that serious measures are being put in place to develop the indigenous sources including the provision of required infrastructure for liquefied natural gas for various generational plants in the country.”
