The hierarchy of the Criminal Investigations Department (CID), of the Ghana Police Service, has paid a courtesy call on Citi FM as part of a familiarization tour.
Led by the newly appointed acting head of the CID, DCOP Maame Yaa Tiwaa Addo-Danquah, the personnel from the CID interacted with the Citi News team and the station’s administration staff.
The brief interaction saw various aspects of security come up, as the new CID boss indicated her outfit’s intent to work with the media to ensure that Ghanaians are served the best possible law enforcement.
She was accompanied by some other officers, including ACP Fredrick Agyei, the CID Director of Legal Prosecution; Supt. Felix Anyidoho, Commander of the Anti-robbery unit; ASP Olivia Turkson, the Public Relations Officer of the CID; Supt. Elizabeth Vine, the Director of Staff, among others.
The leadership of the Citi Newsroom expressed willingness to cooperate with the CID and serve as a conduit of information of public interest as and when necessary.
As the Police commences its recruitment exercise, DCOP Addo-Danquah also cautioned prospective applicants in its recruitment exercise against relying on the services of middlemen through the application process.
She also stressed that there were no reserved slots for preferential allocation.
