Is it existential logic that prompts Prof Emanuel Martey’s observation that the size of a government is tantamount to the volume of corruption the government potentially may commit? It is never the numerical strength of any government body that measures the potential crimes and malfeasance likely to be committed, it is rather the level of educatedness of the members of that body answers to Professor Martey’s worry. Well educated men and women do not easily fall prey to such human weaknesses as the prof is trying to allude to.
And make no mistake about this Mr. Professor Emmanuel Martey every well defined ill in a defined society calls for its established treatment. Our Ghana community is definitely not an educated literate society. How would you explain the numerous sordid sins and crimes that plague the administrations of the clergy in Ghana, Mr. Prof. Emmanuel Rev. Minister?
