Hi Mr. President!

“We can, together build a new Ghanaian civilization, where there is fair opportunity for all.” President Akuffo-Addo.

Mr. President, this is one of your thoughtful and wisdom-filled quotes, strengthening the sense of patriotism in your people.

This is highly laudable and some of us are willing to sacrifice our last drop of blood to make Ghana great.

But there is a very pathetic and disheartening situation at hand. And an immediate solution is urgently needed and any further delay may not be pleasant to me and probably the entire nation.

You will sincerely agree with me that every profession is important but some of the professionals need sound mind to carry out their activities because with the slightest mistake, people may lose their lives.

You may be wondering where I am heading to.

Well, I am a Medical Doctor, practicing for more than one year now. Working assiduously on daily basis, sometimes more than 30hrs continuously without the blink of an eye. Exposing myself to all kinds of diseases you can imagine.

And one would have imagined that such professionals should not be strangulated or suffocated for not even a second because of the nature of their work.

But, that’s not the situation here. I, Dr. Kuma King Kennedy, have been subjected to such distressing and disheartening situation.

I have been working for not some few months, but rather a whole year without even one penny. Ministry of Health, (MOH) has been abysmal and incompetent with respect to resolving this precarious issue.

I decided not to make this issue known to the public initially, but I am growing tired and impatient every second that passes. MOH is not showing any signs of eagerness to get me paid.

I pray to God everyday to grant me the firmness and patience to discharge my duty resoundingly. Because I am completely devastated, emotionally traumatized and psychologically imbalanced.

Please, Mr. President, your immediate response is considerably needed. Let them pay my whole year salary as soon as possible for fairness seek.

Thank you.

Dr. Kuma King Kennedy.
