The District Chief Executive for Afadjato South, Wisdom Semanu Seneadza has advised his constituents to buy into the New Patriotic Party government’s policies.

According to the Chief Executive, promises made by a political party in a bid for power ceases to be exclusive to its members once the party wins.

Likening it to the popular maxim of the message and the messenger, Mr. Seneadza has asked his constituents to focus on the contents of the policy and not its messenger.

He added that the new government, led by Nana Akufo-Addo, is in a haste to improve the lives of Ghanaians regardless their political orientations.

He explained the district has been earmarked to benefit from one of government’s flagship policies of establishing a factory in each district of the country and feasibility studies are being carried out towards the establishment of the cassava processing factory in the Afadjato South District.

Speaking at a town hall meeting organized by the Ministry of Information with supports from the Local Government Ministry, the DCE stressed the importance of citizen participation in the local governance process and asked his people to support government’s projects towards the development of the area.

The town hall meeting is an innovation by the Information Ministry meant to provide a political sphere for citizens and duty bearers to discuss developmental issues. Many including chiefs and opinion leaders in the Afadjato South attended the event held at Ve-Agbome.

Spearheaded by the Information Service Department of the Ministry, the forum is to be carried out across selected districts in the country.
