Five-time winners of the National Science & Maths Quiz, Presbyterian Boys’ Secondary School, Legon (PRESEC) made light work of their opponents, recording 57 points on the final day of preliminary round contests.
They led their nearest challenger by 30 points as they served notice of their intent to capture a sixth title.
Also winning their contests were Sunyani SHS, St. Charles SHS, Half Assini SHS, Kwahu Ridge SHTS and Osei Kyeretwie SHS.
The 18 highest-scoring losing schools who will progress to the one-eighth stage have also been finalised. Aburi Girls fell short to St. Charles SHS but will progress to the round of 16 thanks to this route.
The round of 16 stage will begin on Monday, June 12 through to June 21, here the level of competition is expected to be keener.
Highlights of the round will include the PRESEC-Accra Academy-St. Johns Grammer contest and the St. Peters-Mfantsipim-Kwahu Ridge SHTS contest.
Adisadel College will begin the defence of their crown against Nkroful Agric SHS and Suhum SHTS.
