Telecommunications giant, Vodafone Ghana has launched a new campaign dubbed Vision In Motion (VIM) to empower Ghanaian youth. The programme, which is aimed at equipping young and talented Ghanaians through entrepreneurial skills, would educate the youth to improve on their own businesses.
Madam Agnes Emefa Essah, Marketing Director at Vodafone Ghana, said the ‘VIM’ initiative would equip young people with knowledge and motivation to enhance their skills. She said the initiative would be carried out through weekly motivational video clips with voices, and a series of educational and self-development videos on seven main courses including T-shirt printing, soap making, beauty therapy, fashion, baking, juice making and decor.
“Vodafone VIM will also offer unequalled minutes for calls to Vodafone and other networks, in addition to data for browsing the internet. It will also touch the lives of over 100 loyal customers per quarter in various vocational courses. Participants would be awarded with certificates and essential working tools to enable them to succeed in their respective areas.” she said.
Madam Essah noted that the programme was targeting people involved in small-scale trading as well as those looking for opportunities. She said participants could win fully paid professional training and working tools by staying active on the offer, but must have finished viewing all the tutorial videos for a minimum of 12 weeks.
The product launch concert was graced by award winning dancehall artiste, Shatta Wale who gave patrons back to back brilliant performances.
