It would however be advisable if the National Council should include all former Heads of State as members. My worry for Ghana and Ghanaians is that, when it comes to seeking for solutions or building national consensus on national issues, they turn and look up to former Heads of State. But when it comes to paying their compensation or providing a descent accommodation for them, they are considered and treated as undeserving and greedy. Let Ghana starts to appreciate their leaders. Once a new President is elected, it should became a matter of govt policy to start building a country home for the President and Vice in their villages. By the end of their tenure, their homes are ready and they gracefully retire to their villages instead of them living in Accra. If Presidents cannot live in their villages or region, how do we expect kayayeis not to come down to Accra? A house for a President who have served any country is nothing. Ghana start honouring your leaders when they are alive.
