1 district, 1 factory will help solve the migration issue, for starters.

as the current Government is keen on making Ghana a better place for all,
it is also imperative that they look at the grassroots of the existing
issues. It is not bad to reduce levies for ‘Kayayei’ (that is, if they
exist) but it will be proactive on their
utmost part to find out why they even migrate to the cities. Research
has shown that most of these Kayayei are from the Northern part of Ghana
(Awumbila et al. 2014). What are the ‘pull and push’ factors causing
their movements to the capital city? How best can government help manage
Migration. In the current National Migration Policy for Ghana, what are
some of the Action Plans to be taken to ease this Development Stress?
Yes, Kayayei are vulnerable here in Accra. This notwithstanding, they
are also determined, brave and resilient that when provided with the
necessary conditions in their place of origin, they will excel
tremendously. This can even go a long way to reduce migration which is
currently causing migration of poverty from the rural areas to the
capital city. One question I leave with you: What is causing the spread of Kayayei in the Capital City (eg. Madina)? is it a Pull or Push factor?
