It needs to be studied in response to the President’s quest for ‘men for unprecedented challenges’. The problems that make Ghana today go far beyond the issue of corruption. There is a whole lecture to be delivered on the problem that Ghana is to Ghana.

‘Passing off rumour as fact’ has always been the style of those who dislike him…This absolutely hypothetical, Maamley. The event I mention to you did happen in my era; I was in the Sixth Form. We did some project work on it with indestructible evidence by a PhD dissertation work by Professor David E. APTER. Princeton University, New Jersey.
Come on, Maamley, it was not Kwame Nkrumah’s foresight that brought independence to Ghana. The fight to wrench the Gold Coast from colonial thraldom had long long begun before Kwame Nkrumah ever got invited to join the emancipating team. Where did you get your stuff?
Don’t ever draw in issues that are a non sequitur. Who is responsible for the plight of ‘those plying their wares on the streets of Accra’? You’ve strayed into faulty parenting issues, do you realize? It is the absolutely wrong policies Kwame Nkrumah, being what he was, chose to introduce to the economy of the Republic of Ghana we have condemned, and must correct. We do not tolerate abuses of any nature wherever their source. Kwame Nkrumah needed to get better equipped with the requisite education before venturing into the complex arena of building a nation state’s economy. You never come messing up with human lives with absolutely untenable ideologies. Don’t ever tell me some Ghanaians have chosen to mess up with their lives, for what they are. EDUCATION…PROPER LEARNING is what we are tackling here.
I pray you get the chance to get registered for the courses I am running to educate the Ghanaian parents contemporary.

One could say loads and more, BUT at least with Nkrumah you saw results on the ground; such that the system in place could accommodate Rawlings’ with only a limping pass in English a place in the army. Now, those plying their wares on the streets of Accra, most have more than one pass- often they failed either Maths or English a requirement – archaic in my opinion, for them to progress in society. There is acute entropy in the systems in Ghana. The many buildings bought by Nkrumah in UK are all in the name of the republic- none for him. Those are still in use by subsequent regimes for businesses such as CMB, Foreign Affairs, Economic planning etc. Passing off rumour as fact have always been the style of those who disliked him because none had the foresight nor the fortitude it took to make Ghana an independent nation. Are you one of those???

How competent would you say Dr. Kwame Nkurmah was? Socialism/communism that captured Kwame Nkrumah imagination blocked his views to the real problems that the beginning economy of the Republic of Ghana was. Kwame Nkrummah never had any right and authority to invest Ghana’s meagre finance capital left the new coming Ghana by its business interactions with the British in other coming countries, even if these were and are African countries. What right did Nkrumah have to abrogate the parliamentary democratic system in Ghana? Under whose constitutional mandate? One man authoritarian rule? And where were Kwame Nkrumah’s competence as an administrator of an economy if Krobo Edusei and their cohorts could, with little ease, syphon the country’s capital into private accounts? Where and how and when did the 10% bribe taking for contract taking slip into Ghana’s method of doing business, you know?
Nkrumah was competent as an administrator, you would say? In 1968 the President of the Republic of Ghana had to have carried to London ten Gold Bars the international Community had paid for. The tenth carrier of the gold bullion case Kwame Nkrumah had filled with black soil; Kwame Nkrumah had removed the pure gold away! Can you ever believe this? This is what Nkrumah would like you to believe is the smart way of doing business by the coming African politician. Great Britain, USA and the rest of the Western powers hit hard back in retaliation. Where Ghana went following the episode is all history. A coup d’etat followed. This is Kwame Nkrumah’s competence and wisdom for you you. Today in all Ghana, the corrupting 10% is almost the norm. Your headmasters and headmistresses take bribes in administering educational institutions, even today! I have not mentioned Mahama and his NDC malaise yet in the political realm, you see?

please next time read well before you criticize, check this out in the President statement

“We have a problem, and what is the best way? It is better to have men and women capable of serving the nation’s interests and to work to grow the economy… If I succeed, you will soon find out the brouhaha is nothing compared to the success.”

I beg to differ. Ghanaians did not create the problems for Ghana. We had a competent leader that was overthrown that allowed our nation to descend into malaise. The nation was put back 50 years due to that coup. Look around you, the only infrastructure that you find worthy of praise was built by Nkrumah. Fast forward, 2017- appointing so many ministers do not make for competency. Do they have quality of purpose to see what the nation needs and how to leapfrog the years of incompetency? To think we allowed an illiterate to rule Ghana for 20 years – the longest- and the worse regime with nothing to show for, its itself incredible. Gihoc, that Nkrumah established to be the cornerstone of the nations industrialisation was ruined by Rawlings and sold off by Tsikata et al- where did the money go? The nation is importing everything under the sun while its future leaders are selling wares by the road. The nation has no structure and the systems has been in decay since that fateful coup; NOW, the centre cannot hold. It would take another generation to produce another Nkrumah to redeem Ghana.

Or what do you mean by I need men? How about our woman strong intelligent educated smart women in GHANA ? Do you forgot about them? I believe they Can make things happen also help get anything done instead of depending on so-called men with balls since independent can’t get anything done afraid of change ,what wee need is a leadership a true leader with a vision, we don’t need a rocket science to solve our problems, everyone knows what is wrong,You know it I know it the whole world knows it ,instead of building schools training colleges and research centers investing in innovation for the our future leaders ,not forgetting science technology, Universities in every District , make loans available for higher education in Agriculture technology invest in Human Resources encouraged the youth to dive into the future with hope and inspiration which is needed so badly in Ghana for the children in the darkness can see the great light, we don’t need more churches for what? Enough churches in GHANA already.
we don’t need Religion with it comes corruption, we want spirituality and implementation of rules of laws that have no respect for anyone, And African leaders push for connectivity among African countries open trade among ourselves as it has been said already let it be done ,Independent of Ghana is meaningless unless it links to total reberation for all African, Mr President I pray and hope you succesd for Ghana and All African with love

I mean pick one ministry, identify the numerous problems, stimulate how from the minister to the last civil servant it can be fixed, after that perform similar test with fewer ministers review your results before you put out there to criticize. The media house just jumped on the lazy wagon for the mere mention of larger number and lazily call information minister to talk about something he can cannot speak simply because there is no data to back the assertion, in the end we go in circles and claim that information minister is incompetent and the media houses are the very people to be brand as incompetent in this instance. We know the old ways has not worked and we are trying a new way of doing things, if this will help restructure civil service by using technology, and systems to cut out corruption and inefficiencies , more power to us, if it will make our living condition better than where we are, more power to us. It is senseless and unacceptable to compare a president of one country to Ghana. Each country is unique with its own size of population, resources, level of education and many other issues which are incomparable. People this change is moving away from the old way of doing things to a new one, therefore we should change our mental gear from first to third and ride on.

The issue of the Ghana underdevelopment situation fraught with corruption pursuit that appears ‘genomic’..Do you know the word genome? Gene cast problem of corruption and the tendency now, even for the ‘educated’ to pander to idol pursuits, however unwitting. Where do you ever find any creativity faculty pursuit in this land? Can anybody ever answer this question? Ghana is uniquely Ghana by her unique cast of problems.
