This is a contentious, thorny issue, if anybody asks me. Why did the defeated, immediate past NDC administration have to make that decision at the tail end of its tenure, as it teetered to its grave, while it had not made any provision for the increment in the budget Terkper had drawn that year? These young men and young ladies need to do a little honest, mathematical thinking.
All things being equal, the increment calls for parliamentary study and assessment for the national nature of it before it can ever get anywhere near the budget! Don’t you smell anything sinister about this provocative decision the Mr Dramani Mahama administration took when and how it took it. Was the NDC administration trying to ram down a rod down the NPP administration throat for the ignominious defeated it had suffered? The country is not going anywhere without these natives that are her assets.
Why did Mahama do that? Out of a wrong, vindictive political policy?
