Disabilities fall under another serious category of problems that need tackling in a dimension altogether novel and, perhaps, dis-enabling that should not ever come to thwart economic management growth. Where does Ghana stand in terms of technological growth and development, for example? GFD should come to terms with the problems now that are peculiarly Ghana’s; and appreciate the efforts the past governments and even some international bodies have made, and are making to recognize the disabilities for what they are. GFD need to study a lecture I gave sometime ago on the blind and the white cane. The crippled are human! Acknowledged! The blind are human beings! Accepted. But for the sake of nationhood building to any appreciable precision growth and development at the pace our predicament calls for GFD need to pause and think in the demands they make for their quests.
