Airtel Ghana, through its Enterprise solutions sub brand, Airtel Business, held its annual customer dinner and awards last Thursday to celebrate and award customers and partners who excelled in various categories for the year under review.
The awards, now in its second year, seek to celebrate and reward Airtel Business customers for their partnership and loyalty over the years.
This year’s awards focused on celebrating SME customers and Airtel Money partners who have distinguished themselves, grown their businesses and impacted the lives of others through their operations.
Overall, a total of nine businesses were awarded during the event under different categories. Papa’s Pizza Limited, walked away with the ultimate prize of the night – picking up the Business of the Year award for demonstrating strong growth, innovative strategies and outstanding performance through its operations.
Other awardees included Mawums Limited who picked the Outstanding Achievement Award for aggressively and innovatively pursuing business in untapped segments.
The other big winners for the night were Sarcon Quarry Limited who picked the award for Excellence ongoing Achievement and Loyalty. Aviat Networks Ghana Limited and Anglican Diocese of Accra walked away with Supplier Partner of the Year and Special Recognition Awards respectively.
Airtel Business also honoured some of its Airtel Money partners for supporting e-commerce in Ghana through direct and indirect operations. The honourees were First Atlantic Bank, who picked up the top award for Best Airtel Money Partner, Nsano Limted was adjudged Airtel Money Aggregator of the Year, Sports Betting Ghana Limited (Betway) was recognized as Best Airtel Money Corporate Partner(Collections) and L’Aine Services Limited as Best Airtel Money Corporate Partner (Bulk Payment).
Speaking at the event, Airtel Ghana’s Marketing Director, Rosy Fynn said “as Ghana’s industry leader in data, digital and enterprise solutions, we greatly invest in empowering businesses through innovative collaborative, communication and connectivity services because we believe in their potential to bring value to consumers and the nation. Head of Airtel Business, Richard Adiase, took the opportunity to thank all customers for their loyalty and partnership over the years. The SME sector contributes significantly to the GDP of this country. The sector provides more jobs than many other sectors of the economy and they must be supported to grow.
