Organizers of Ghana’s Most Influential Awards , an annual platform to celebrate top 100 most influential Ghanaian personalities, are calling on the general public to continue nominating their favourites.

The nominations which were opened since December last year is to allow the general public to submit names of individuals who have influenced them positively in 2016. The official awards ceremony is expected to be held later in this year.

The Head of Trade and Marketing for Global Media Alliance Broadcast Company (GMABC), Ms. Naomi Nelson, said, the 7th edition of the GMI would be a clear demonstration of how Ghanaians appreciate and celebrate the good works of individuals in the country.

“e.TV Ghana believes in positively affecting society through its programs and events, hence the establishment of this awards as a platform to acknowledge and celebrate people who have had an obvious impact in society”, she stated.

Commenting on the event, the Chief Executive Officer of Global Media Alliance Group, Mr. Ernest Boateng, explained that “this year’s event is envisaged to be keenly contested than previous years, as most Ghanaians have demonstrated strong interest in who emerges the ultimate winner through public votes”.

He also added that the public is allowed to submit more than one nomination, “we are indeed very excited about this year’s event “.

He further encouraged the general public to get involved and nominate individuals who are performing excellently in their fields and positively impacting society from all parts of the country.

Over the years, the GMI’s list has consisted of people from both the formal and informal sectors, ranging from entrepreneurs, politicians, musicians, sports personalities, religious leaders and several others.
