Do we need a lecture on the fact that a deadline to filling nominations means you need to present an error free document by the deadline? If the Parties were minded that they could do mistakes and that it would take the EC to point out those mistakes, the logical thing to do was to submit documents earlier than the deadline. Does the EC’s rules state submission only on the day deadline expires? I think the courts are increasingly threading a dangerous path. May be they should just go ahead dissolve the EC and then run the election themselves.
