Chief Executive Officer of HR Focus Magazine has said that technology is necessary to the development of every profession and more so for the human resource profession.

She said this on the back of the HR Focus Conference 2016 themed, “Technology Driven HR; People, Processes, Performance,” scheduled to take place on 23rd September, 2016 at the World Trade Center, Ridge-Accra.

Mrs. Hagan said, “In the wake of technology and in this fast paced technological world, HR practitioners must get abreast with the changing times in order to stay relevant.”

According to her, the HR Focus Conference 2016 is an avenue for HR managers and practitioners to converge to discuss how they can leverage on technology in order to positively impact the bottom line of their organisations.

The HR Focus Conference, organised by the HR Focus magazine, will be executed in two sessions: the HR Forum and the Career Development Session, with corporate exhibitions running alongside. It is anticipated that the Career Development Session, which immediately follows the HR Forum, will be the biggest corporate gathering of students, jobseekers and everybody interested in career advancement. As part of the Career Development Session, there will be a “Business Challenge” competition, where three schools will compete to come up with innovative business ideas.

Speaking at the HR Focus Conference 2016 will be exciting and insightful speakers including Dr. Esi Ansah, CEO of Axis Human Capital; Rev. Celia Apeagyei-Collins, Founder, Rehoboth Foundation – UK; Mrs. Irene Asare – HR, Facilities and Administration Director, Tullow Oil;  Dr. Randy Osae-Bediako, CEO, Kharis Group; Mr. Samuel Boafo, HR Director, CAL Bank; and Mrs. Gloria Agyei, L&D Senior Manager, MTN Ghana  .
