Aduana Stars moved to the top of the Ghana Premier League after thumping Techiman City 4-0 in Dormaa.
The former league champions were chasing a win to give them top place because of their superior goal difference to Wa All Stars and they went about their work early in the first half.
After about 15 minutes, Yahaya Mohammed scored his 15th of the season to give Aduana Stars the lead.
In the second half, Daniel Darkwa’s cross was punched into the net by Techiman City goalie to make it two and Bright Adjei found the net to give Aduana Stars their third goal. Derrick Sasraku completed the scoring in the 90th minute.
Both Aduana and Wa All Stars now have 48 points but Aduana have goal difference of 19 while All Stars have a goal difference of 11.
All Stars were beaten 1-0 in Dansoman thanks to a goal from Latif Blessing.
Hearts of Oak ended their 7-game winless run with a 1-0 home win over Dwarfs. Substitute Foovi Aguidi got the goal in the second half to give Hearts 4th place and 45 points with two matches left.
Medeama drew 1-1 with Asante Kotoko at the Tarkwa T&A Park. Eric Donkor put the Porcupine Warriors ahead but Bismark Oppong found the equaliser for Medeama.
Kotoko are 3rd on 45 points while Medeama are 5th on 41 points.
Inter Allies’ campaign to stay in the league took a positive turn when they got a 1-0 win at Dreams FC. Frederick Boateng got the goal in the 62nd minute from a pass from Ropapa Mensah.
Allies are now 12th on 34 points and Dreams FC are 7th on 39 points.
Berekum Chelsea beat AshGold 2-0, Hasaacas were 2-1 winners over WAFA and Bechem won 1-0 away at New Edubiase.
