Airtel Ghana, Best CSR Company for Education and Community relations has donated sanitary items to the National Hajj Board to support Pilgrims embarking on this year’s Hajj. The donations, made at the Hajj Village in Accra comprised toiletries, sanitizers and disinfectants among others.
Making the donation at the Hajj Village in Accra, Richard Ahiagble, Head of Corporate Communications at Airtel said “The annual Hajj is a very important activity not only on the Islamic calendar but for the nation as a whole.
“As a business, we understand how important the pilgrimage is to all practicing Muslims and the effort the Hajj Board has put in over the years to ensure pilgrims from Ghana join their colleagues from the world over for the annual event in Saudi Arabia.
“This donation is on behalf of the leadership and employees of Airtel Ghana to the Hajj Board and all pilgrims in the village. It is our little way of wishing all pilgrims well as they embark on the Hajj.

He indicated that Sanitation at the village was one of the key priority areas for the Hajj Board and Airtel Ghana’s donation will go a long way to promote sanitation in the village.
He indicated that Airtel has been part of the annual Hajj over the years and commended the company highly for their continuous support.
