Goldman Capital has put smiles on the faces of residents of Kwabena Saah, a community in the Akim North District in the Eastern by providing them with potable water.
The company in collaboration with TheoVision international, a non-governmental organisation on Wednesday handed over a newly built mechanized borehole to the community to serve their water needs.
Speaking at a ceremony to present the facility to the community, Managing Director of Goldman Capital, George Koomson said the donation forms part of their corporate social responsibility.
He explained that the company took up the challenge to undertake the initiative when he visited the community about two months ago and saw how unclean the water they used for domestic purposes was.
The president of TheoVision, Rev. Theodore Asare also said they partnered to execute the project because such initiative forms part of their core mandate as well as propagating the gospel of Christ.
For his part, the Chief of the Community commended Goldman Capital for the gesture and further called on them to help build a school in the area to alleviate the plight of children in the town from walking long distances to attend school in other communities.
