In a Citi News interview, the Public Relations Officer of the Accra Regional Police Command, ASP Effia Tenge, said the result of ongoing test on the meat will be ready by [Friday] July 15.
According to her, “What we are now left with is the scientific examination of the said substance that was being alleged was human flesh. We hope that by close of day tomorrow [Friday], we should have the results or the report.”
Suspicious meat may have come from Makola
ASP Tenge also noted that, the police have information suggesting that the meat may have come from a butcher from the Makola Market.
“We have a statement indicating that a butcher sold the meat to this woman from the Makola Market. He is Ali Bakari and he has given a written statement to that effect. On the said morning, that was yesterday [Wednesday], the woman came to him to buy the meat so we also have a statement with regard to that,” she revealed.
